Fulfillment

The baby bird has hatched and I saw it today for the first time. This morning I went out there and the parent dove was on the nest and there was no way I could see this little bird.
Mourning Doves are amazing. The mother and father both sit on the nest. The mother sits on it at night, and the father during the day. It takes about 13-14 days to incubate the egg before it hatches. When it hatches it only takes 12-14 days before the baby is ready to leave the nest. I'm hoping thats before the next storm because I'm not sure how well that nest will stand up to monsoon weather.
