Copper Creek is considered a ghost town but there isn't many building left. Just lots of foundations and ruins. There is a mansion that is still standing but we have yet to find it. We will save that for the next trip. Back in 1910, there were about 200 people living in this little canyon. On June 12, 2011, we were the only ones there.

Copper Creek
Saturday, Jim and I and Jason, Donna and Kayahni L. all took our quads up to Copper Creek. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision to go there so we didn't get a very early start. Jason and Donna have a small Polaris side-by-side that Kayahni(she's about 7 or 8 years old) drove all the way. She did awesome!! It was about 95 degrees out but it was an awesome ride. I think its about 18 miles round trip or something like that. We used to take this drive in our jeep, when we had it.

Looks like fun, Donna! Mike & Justin are headed for Payson next Saturday for Boy Scout Summer Camp. I'm sure they'll have fun (wish I was going).:)
Awesome fun in the sun! Part of our Saturday was spent at the barn (That's pretty much routine and then Sunday we were all day at a horse show where Kelsey was working as a groom. Thanks for sharing these pictures...it looks like a ton of fun.
It was fun. Living in Arizona is definitly different than living in Washington. I'm glad we can take advantage of our health and time to go out and play a bit. Traci - Mike and Justin will have a great time in Payson. It should be cooler there. Theres high fire danger so I don't know if that will put a hamper on going in the forest up there. They have closed all the forests around here. I hope they have a good time!!!
Tim - As always....thanks for your comments. I always look forward to them!!
