Washington - September 2011

Can you believe it? I took another trip to Washington. This time it was to help my parents out because my Mom had her right shoulder replaced. I wanted to be there when she got out of the hospital. She ended up doing really well so I did get to go and play some. Below are some of the things we did while I was there.

Flying into Seattle

Mt. Ranier poking out through the clouds.

The Colombia River, which separates Washington and Oregon with Mt. Hood in the background.

The Grand Canyon

After listening to the foghorn and seeing the fog roll up from the water I decided to go down and see Mukilteo in the fog. It was beautiful.

Mukilteo Ivars with my sister and neice - and a fun day of shopping

My Dad and I attended the vintage plane flyin at Payne Field. One notable guest of honor (besides my dad and I) was Mr. Bill Boeing Jr. (His father started the Boeing company). It was quite amazing listening to his talk. His family is part of history.

Taking photos of my nephew, Darren. He was a great sport.

Enjoying the birds and the bees in my parents yard.

Thai food with my family

The Mukilteo ferry the last evening I was there.

and just in case you didn't get enough photos in this post....click on the slideshow to see the rest.

Hi Donna - not sure if you remember us or not - Adrian & Jennifer DeGroot (we lived in Everett before you & Jim got married)... in any case, we went to meeting tonight with Jim's brother - Gary? He told me to tell you that he went to meeting!

Also - I didn't realize this until I saw your blog that your niece is dating my nephew... what a funny coincidence... and Bethany was our nanny last year...
