Take a hike!

So, after reading my last blog entry I think it was pretty obvious that I needed to get out of the house and into nature in order to get an attitude adjustment. So, Saturday, Dec 22, we decided to hike up Wasson Peak. The trailhead is just across the road from the Desert Museum. Its about a 2000 ft elevation gain in a span of 3.5 miles (one way). It is an amazing hike. I love being in the desert and it was so peaceful and quiet. I really needed it. We tried out our new GoPro camera. It took beautiful pictures. .  It was 70 degrees out.  Perfect hiking weather for Arizona.

Final Ridge to Wasson Peak

On the Peak

The Tucson valley lies far below.  Up here there are no cares..no busy Christmas shoppers, no cars, but plenty of bees.

Heading back down.  This peak is the highest peak in the Tucson Mountains.

Saguaro growing out of a rock.

Beware of these little guys on the path.

Horny Toad next to the trail.

Good Morning:

I "LIKED" this entry! Also noted when I logged in that this morning was a little cool for Tucson!

It was really cool here, -30 celcius with the wind chill so makes one thankful for warm cars and central heating.

I am working today (Dec 24th, 2012) until noon! I have a crew on a gym so may head in that direction at some point!

Glor is off and I believe she and her mom are going to take the dog to the vet but otherwise have a very relaxed day!

Tomorrow looks to be a quiet day at home, Glor and her Mom are going to make Christmas dinner and so it will be nice to just veg out!

Well this Canadian enjoyed your adventure and the record of it! Thanks so much for sharing, actually this and the last post!

It helps us relate!

Special Hi to your Jim!

Absolutely beau-ti-ful!!! You're definitely having more sunshine than up here in WA! Someday, I want to be able to afford to spend several weeks in AZ during November and December...'cause the darkness and rain up here is really dragging me down.... Meanwhile, I just enjoy all the photos of AZ! So...thank you!! :)
