This lovely little creature was out on our front porch. Arizona has such fun insects this time of year. This is a Derobrachus Geminatus or otherwise known as a Palo Verde Beetle. They can grow up to 6 to 8 inches long. Pretty ugly little things are they?

Definitely something out of a nightmare! Cool pictures though… do they bite? Guess I wouldn’t want to get close enough to find out!
Wow! He's big! At least it's not a cockroach. Can't stand the crunch!:)
OK...that's just creepy. Gives me goosebumps.
