San Xavier

My sweet sister, Diane, and my equally wonderful niece, Deanna, came to visit me. I kept saying..."Its like a dream" that they where here. I have literally wished them here for years. So, I wanted to show them some of the interesting things around Tucson while they were here. Things that are really different from Washington.  At least they are things that I think are interesing. So, first stop was the San Xavier Mission. This mission was founded in 1692. The architecture is amazing. Its still a working church and its on the edge of the Tohono O'Odom Indian Reservation. Its seems to be a mixture of Indian and Hispanic cultures and the Catholic religion. My sister thought it was really interesting....my niece not so much.
