Backyard

I was speaking to my sister on the phone yesterday and trying to explain how beautiful our back yard is right now. She said I should put some photos on my blog. So, I took all these photos (except the last one I took a week ago) while I was talking to her on the phone. So, sister, you are my inspiration. These photos are for you (and for anyone else who would enjoy having a cup of coffee with me on the back patio). Don't forget to look at the last photo (it is my favorite).
Pomegranite Bud before it blooms

Pomegranite Blossom

Even the tiniest bug enjoys the prickly pear bloom

The pomegranate bloom is done and it starts to grow the fruit
Prickly Pear Cactus blooms
A bee rolling around in the bloom

Three rose bushes in full bloom
roses
multi colored Lantana that the birds brought to the yard as a gift (we did not plant it)
Ballerina Daisy
One of my hanging baskets
Side yard (two orange trees, a Tangelo tree, a lemon tree and a rose bush) The lemon tree is slowly coming back from a hard freeze this winter.  We thought we lost it but its trying.
Jim bought this rose bush for a couple bucks off the sick rack at Lowes.  Its now one of our best rose bushes.
The apple tree is working on a good crop for us.  Should be big and ripe by the end of June.
The fig tree is working on some figs.  We should have a good crop when they get ripe (probably at least another month)
Sweet Mama Dove has the patience of a .....Dove.  She is waiting patiently for her babies to grow.
This picture was taken last Sunday morning, April 7, just moments after these cuties were born. I was lucky to see them and I haven't seen them since because the parents are so good and do not leave the nest.  They should fledge in about another week.
