A little R & R in the White Mountains

Jim and I went to the White Mountains for some much needed R & R from Sun to Wed. We stayed in Pinetop at our timeshare condo that we LUV. Then we went out to Hawley Lake fishing on Monday and Tuesday. Hawley Lake is on the White Mt Apache reservation. It is incredible up there. No people and no noise except for the birds, the wind and a few passing airplanes. It was so cold and windy but Jim would not give up. We just bundled up and stuck with it. Between the 2 days we caught about 30 trout. We only kept a few. We just like to fish. It was snowing when we left on Wed and we where ready to get back to the desert and to some heat. Here are some photos from our trip up there, our condo and Hawley Lake.

Jim had a great time driving on these roads.

The music says it all on this one...

Welcome to the jungle? Doesn't look like jungle to me. Looks like fun though.

Awesome pictures, Donna. Who knew Arizona had places like that? It looks like Cle Elum :).

Glad you guys were able to get away and have a nice mini-vacation.

Hugs.
